Coach House retreat centre manager, permanent, 37.5 hrs a weekThe Coach House

We are looking for a well-organised, calm and flexible person to manage our new £1.6million mindfulness retreat venue for The Sharpham Trust, opening in Spring 2022.

This role oversees the operation of the new centre which will offer weekly retreats together with some external hires. The centre will have an ecological focus with retreatants spending some time each day connecting to nature by doing mindful work in our gardens or on the wider estate.

Horticulture trainees aged 18-24Young gardener at The Sharpham Trust

Are you (or someone you know) aged between 18-24 and on universal credit and interested in working on the stunning Sharpham Estate this year for 6 months?

We have 2 horticulture placements at The Sharpham Trust starting in November, where you'll learn a broad range of skills lead by our Head Gardener Bryony Middleton, from organic vegetable growing in our Walled Garden to caring for our ornamental gardens, woodland and orchards.

As part of the Kick Start Scheme successful applicants will work with us for 25 hours a week, receive holiday and minimum wage payments as well as some training in horticultural practices, social media and marketing and job skills.

We have a kitchen placement at The Sharpham Trust starting in November, where you'll learn a broad range of skills lead by our chef Antony Wall, including cooking delicious vegetarian and vegan food from produce grown in our organic Walled Garden.

As part of the Kick Start Scheme, successful applicants will work with us for 25 hours a week, receive holiday and minimum wage payments as well as some training in kitchen practices, social media and marketing and job skills.

Volunteer for our garden, archive and our rewilding projectVolunteer rakes the lawn at Sharpham

We recruit volunteers to help in the maintenance of Sharpham House and grounds and within the Sharpham Archive, sharing the benefits of this venue, its history and its setting.

We are also taking limited numbers of people to volunteer on our rewilding project Wild For People. See more about those volunteering opportunities here
