Sharpham House cook Sybille Pouzet shares how to make a healthy, vegan, gluten-free snack - that's also tasty & delicious!
Here's a recipe that we make at the house quite often for our welcome snacks, we thought some of you might enjoy recreating this easy recipe at home, to take in your lunchbox, as a snack for yourself or for the kids...
Tahini is basically ground sesame seeds and it contains many minerals: zinc, copper, iron, calcium and phosphorus.
It is great for anyone keeping an eye on cholesterol as it contains none!
Feel free to play with the recipe and use coconut instead of sesame seeds to roll the balls or anything else you fancy...
Oh and remember to take your time making them and eating them mindfully...savouring each bite...
Ingredients (for about 6-8 balls):
- 90g tahini
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 55g oat flour ( simply grind oats in a blender to make it- use GF oats if required)
- 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
- a pinch of salt
- sesame seeds for coating
Method
- Mix all the ingredients together.
- Shape into balls and roll in the sesame seeds.
- Enjoy!
