Sheep in Sharpham's orchards

Sheep are now grazing in the organic orchards beside Sharpham House, thanks to the efforts of volunteers on our Tree Care Day in February.

New fruit trees were planted on that day by a team of volunteers who gave up their time to help The Trust continue its conservation and organic land management aims.

The volunteers worked hard on putting in wooden posts as guards to protect the young saplings (see video evidence right here and the story here) so that sheep could graze without damaging the trees.

If you want to volunteer at Sharpham and get involved, get out on the land in a beautiful setting and be sociable with others, you can find out more by calling Volunteer Officer Maya Herbolzheimer on 01803 731802 or by emailing [email protected]
