River Dart

Learn more and view videos about our beloved River Dart - the waterway that gave The Sharpham Estate its name and which flows alongside it for three miles.

Sharpham means 'sharp or steep bend in the river' and the River Dart winds around the headland on which Sharpham House is built.

Our Director Julian Carnell is also chairing the River Dart Catchment Partnership, to assist the Dart's restoration for wildlife and people.
