Are you longing for greater compassion, clarity and emotional balance in your everyday life?
This 8-week online course draws on proven mindfulness approaches and compassion practices to support you in becoming more present, grounded and gently compassionate for yourself, others and the world around you.
Our trained and experienced teacher will guide you week-by-week through meditations, reflections and practical exercises designed to deepen your understanding of self-compassion, care for others and mindful living. This course offers a supportive and transformative space for personal growth.
Participants will have completed an 8-week course in MBSR or MBCT or attended a mindfulness retreat or equivalent immersive mindfulness experience. This ensures all participants have foundational mindfulness skills to fully benefit from the compassionate living practices.
*Given the nature of self-compassion practices, it is common for old trauma to arise, particularly around Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
If you have experienced any ACEs - and before attending this course - we ask you to discuss your participation with a psychologist or therapist to see if this retreat is appropriate for you at this time.
Mindfulness and compassion flourish through commitment and gentle consistency.
We ask participants to attend all eight weekly sessions and to commit to regular short practices between sessions.
These practices are simple, flexible, and supported with audio resources, so you can integrate them into your everyday life in a way that feels manageable and
meaningful.
We will be using the online application Zoom to meditate with each other.
To use Zoom you will need a computer or a phone with a speaker and camera. Full instructions will be sent with each Online Meditation Alert or you can access them here.
You can also download the Zoom app here to familiarise yourself with it and make sure it meets your system requirements.
Many graduates go on to deepen their journey with retreat options or further courses, drawing on their new capacity for presence, compassion and mindful living to
enrich their lives, relationships and communities.
Participants receive a certificate at the end of the course.
