Visit our Buddhist meditation retreat centre in autumn, says Tasha

Tasha, manager of The Barn, our Buddhist meditation centre overlooking the beautiful River Dart in Devon, invites you to stay with us this coming season.
The Barn is our longest-established retreat venue on The Sharpham Estate and it is where we focus on meditation, community and nature connection.
It is small: ten retreatants stay for up to 6 nights at a time and we offer our 'standard' Being & Belonging retreats, as well as more themed invitations, including Awakening The Heart, Living in Awareness, Touching The Earth & Buddhism for Beginners.
Retreatants follow a simple (and gentle) daily routine that includes mindful gardening, meditation and cooking together, and many of the people who stay with us return year after year. Here's a recent review:
Beautiful location with stunning views across the Dart valley. The whole retreat experience is well considered from excellent, responsive facilitation to top quality, mostly locally-grown ingredients for nourishing meals. The programme is inclusive and spacious with an invitation to take part and no pressure. Activities are gentle and connection with nature - morning movement, work in the garden, walking meditation...are enjoyable ways to develop connection and community with others on retreat. A wonderful place to reset or to explore and deepen your practice. Back home one day and already planning my next visit!
