How can we deepen our mindfulness practice and bring it into all aspects of our daily lives – experiencing life fully with awareness, rather than on autopilot?

Tasha Bassingthwaighte, manager at The Barn, introduces our Living in Awareness 6-night and 4-night retreats to explore that question, using meditation and mindfulness, with guided and silent sitting meditation, walking meditation, and informal mindful practices sprinkled throughout.

The 6-night retreats begin on October 5, December 14 and March 8 and our 4-night retreat starts on January 6.

There's a transcript of Tasha's video below.

I'm pleased to tell you about our new offering called Living in Awareness, which is a retreat that's either six or four nights in length.

This retreat builds on the core of what The Barn is known for: meditation, community, simplicity and nature connection, but it offers a slightly different rhythm and focus, with more emphasis on Buddhist meditation and teachings.

During this retreat, we'll have more silence and longer periods of sitting meditation.

We'll dive into the teachings on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness as a meditative framework, and the Noble Eightfold Path as a way to inform how we live our lives, including our lives off the cushion.

We'll be learning from each other, cooking and gardening together, weaving meditative practice throughout the days.

There's still the support of the human & non-human community that lovingly makes up The Barn.

This retreat is ideal if you've been on a Barn retreat before and are curious about going deeper into Buddhism and meditation.

Or if you're someone who hasn't been here before and has a stable meditation practice that you're wanting to deepen.

We're excited to offer Living in Awareness as part of our evolving programme here.

If it sounds like the right step for you, we'd love you to come.

Thanks for watching, and I hope to see you here soon.
