We're measuring our impact to ensure we're on the right track towards our charity's mission to make a more mindful, compassionate and sustainable world.

And we're proud of consistently scoring fabulous feedback across our retreat venues.

At the end of each retreat, we ask participants to share the changes in themselves and, more widely, rate us on the service we've given them.

Our year in numbers

From a retreatant's likelihood to recommend us to a friend to the amount of organic vegetables grown at Sharpham - we're trying hard to measure our impact.

Headline statistics from this year include:

  • 2,970 retreatants experienced mindfulness in our amazing natural setting
  • 3,000 trees from 27 native species were planted on the Sharpham Estate
  • 1,470 hours were volunteered by people, including our Retreat Coordinators

In stunningly beautiful countryside, in a beautiful house, The Sharpham Trust has created a wonderful retreat experience, incredible value for money, a genuinely brilliant endeavour focussed on promoting wellbeing and nature, I could not recommend highly enough, 5 stars every time

The Barn

99% of respondents told us, after a retreat in The Barn that the team there was outstanding:

I've just returned from a 6 day retreat at the Barn. It's a breathtakingly beautiful place run by dedicated and lovely people. The meditation and community activities are designed to restore peace and perspective. The food, a lot of which is grown there (including fresh eggs from free range chickens) was delicious and plentiful. I'd recommend The Barn to anyone wanting some peace and tranquility to reset amongst caring and supportive people

The Coach House

93% of respondents told us, after a retreat in The Coach House:
"I feel more connected to nature"

A retreat at The Coach House is a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The opportunity to be a part of nature in the walled garden and explore the Sharpham estate rewilding project was a real highlight. The vegetarian food is beautifully done. The configuration of the rooms and communal eating area foster a real sense of community as well. I would highly recommend a retreat at The Coach House at any time of the year to reset and reconnect with yourself and nature”
