Family Event - THURSDAY 8 August, 10.30am to 1.00pm

Come and have fun with us this summer holidays in the beautiful woodland at Sharpham!

There'll be a forest nature trail, some mini-beast discovery, creative fun with clay and nature games.

This event is part of our Sharpham Wild About Trees project, enabling us to offer FREE places for children and subsidised places for adults of a low income on this event. Click the Costs tab above to see the prices.

NB: The gardens of Sharpham House will not be accessible due to residential retreats in progress.

Family Art

This day is for you if you are:

  • Interested in learning more about the natural world 
  • A fan of the Great Outdoors & creativity
  • Looking for a fascinating, family, holiday event in a beautiful, outdoor, woodland setting

You'll experience:

  • Sensory fun 
  • Exploring in the woods
  • Simple craft 
  • Nature art 
  • Nature connection 

What should you bring?

  • A drink and snack
  • Sturdy but comfortable walking shoes/ boots
  • Waterproofs / suncream depending on forecast
  • Please wear long trousers not shorts (as we will be walking in the woods & in long grass - small chance of ticks)
  • There will be the opportunity to bring a pack lunch / picnic and stay in the woods to enjoy lunch for 30 minutes after the event ends
  • There is drinkng water on site

Costs

Thanks to the Sharpham Wild About Trees Project, we have a number of FREE places on this event for children and adults, for those who would find it hard to attend otherwise.

Children, aged 7-17, FREE - fully funded by Wild About Trees (A Plymouth & South Devon Commuity Forest scheme)

Adult £6 – subsidised cost but still helps The Sharpham Trust

Adult £3 – further subsidised cost - for people on low incomes

Adult FREE – fully funded - for people on low incomes or unwaged only

There is a maximum of 3 children aged 7-17 per adult, and a maximum of 2 adults per 1 child. Adults must stay with their children at all times.
