Coach House retreat

Getting your hands in the earth:

This Coach House retreat features morning sessions helping in our ornamental and Walled Garden in the grounds of Sharpham House, alongside our experienced staff Frances, Bryony and Amy.

We manage the gardens organically and the produce we grow supplies the kitchens in Sharpham House and the Coach House.

There are a mixture of tasks on our nature-mindfulness retreats, depending on the season. We invite you to bring your awareness to the land, plants and the nature surrounding you at Sharpham.

You don't need to know anything about gardening to participate - our team will support and assist you.

Rewilding:

This retreat includes the opportunity to learn more about our Rewilding efforts with a morning session led by an Ambios Team member who look after our rewilding project and deliver conservation training on the estate.

Silence

All our retreats include periods of silence as a way of deepening into mindful awareness.

Reviews

One of the best decisions I have ever made was deciding to come to this beautiful place for a meditation retreat. Frank, Rachel and Elaine were so kind and welcoming and the food was amazing. The whole experience was transformative for me, and has helped me to live more in the present through mindfulness. I am so happy I found Sharpham House/Coach House. I will be making this a yearly pilgrimage going forward. Thank you to the whole staff for being amazing!

I attended the nature connection and yoga retreat in June . My room and bathroom were of a high standard , clean, spacious and comfortable. The leaders of the retreat were delightful, Maite led us through yoga sequences which were soothing and comfortable, the co-ordinations , Frank and Nikki were very kind and supportive which meant a lot me as I am recovering from Long Covid. I enjoyed the camaraderie of the kind members of our group and loved to watch the transformation in their well being. The food was outstanding being prepared by Wendy the vegetarian chef who was kind , supportive and welcoming. A transformative experience.

The Coach House retreat was a very welcome pause in my life. Not only was the accommodation very clean and comfortable, the food was superb too. The structure of the days is really helpful with plenty of time to explore the local landscape and views which are inspirational. The team are also amazing with a genuine skill in looking after everyone, as well as providing a really supportive environment to practice meditation. I will return and would highly recommend this glorious place. Thank you.

Participants at The Coach House can select which rate they pay according to need:

Supported Rate £395

The Sharpham Trust is committed to ensuring that retreats are accessible to all - regardless of income. The Trust therefore offers a heavily subsidised Supported Rate for those unable to pay the Standard or Benefactor Rate.

Paying the Standard Rate means you will be contributing towards our running costs, supporting the work of The Coach House and helping retreatants on lower incomes to access our retreats.
