Discover the amazing world of wild food and medicine in this accessible foraging event with Sharpham Trust plant expert Lisa Carnell.
You'll take an in-depth look at the wild seasonal plants and herbs growing in the accessible areas of the Sharpham Estate.
You will be shown how to use all your senses to safely gather and identify the some of the edible plants that grow at Sharpham, whilst also discovering the medicinal uses of the plants and their folklore.
You'll explore the Mindful Meadow in front of Sharpham House, including locations on short grass & gravel paths and taking in the stunning views and beautiful landscape of the Sharpham Estate at the same time.
The locations will be just a short distance from our 'basecamp' at our Coach House retreat centre courtyard (with an accessible toilet), close to where you can park.
Our routes will be wheelchair & walking stick accessible, but you may need a friend or family member to assist you, depending on your wheel chair type.
We're a 550-acre estate on the banks of the River Dart, set within a National Landscape Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We've been designated organic and we're rewilding parts of the estate, helping to restore nature and to connect people to the land and themselves through our programme of retreats, courses and events.
