I thoroughly recommend it. I've booked up for two more! A very well-organised and excellent home retreat experience. Thank you Sharpham Trust

This 1-day Retreat at Home can help support and nourish you as you face new challenges and uncertainties. This mindfulness retreat offers support from experienced meditators. You'll be held in supportive community, connecting with each other and sharing experiences.

"I found the online 1-day retreat inspirational, calming and it definitely had the touch of the 'Sharpham magic' that we all crave in these strange times.

There will be a maximum of 15 people on this retreat with opportunities for smaller group sharing.

The retreat will take place online using the platform Zoom (see further information below to ensure you have the minimum tech requirements). We'll send out guidance for using Zoom when you book and a guide to getting the best out of your Retreat at Home.

This retreat is for you if:

  • Want connection to a supportive and nurturing community of fellow retreatants
  • Teaching and guided meditation sessions from experienced and compassionate coordinators
  • Ways to use mindfulness and self-compassion to stay steady in uncertain and challenging times
  • are aged 18 or over
What is Mindfulness?

What you'll experience on this retreat:

  • live teachings & guided practices, where you connect with a supportive retreat community and its skilled facilitators
  • group sharing, building connections and empathy
  • downloadable practices so you're not glued to a screen. And you can return to them again and again after the retreat finishes
  • Mindful movement routines and practices such as qi-gong and yoga
  • Teachings on how mindfulness and self-compassion can help steady us through uncertain and challenging times
  • the sense of being part of nature and the support of the Earth through daily nature connection practices

Technical requirements:

We will be using the online application Zoom to meditate with each other.

To use Zoom you will need a computer or a phone with a speaker and camera. Full instructions will be sent with each Online Meditation Alert or you can access them here.

You can also download the Zoom app here to familiarise yourself with it and make sure it meets your system requirements.

To get the most out of this retreat you will need a room in your home where you will not be distracted by other people and which can serve as a confidential space.

To join you will need to be fully available for the duration of the retreat (this helps create a greater sense of group coherence with less distraction for your fellow retreatants). This is a small group retreat with the expectation that you will attend from the start to the end.

The 1-day retreat will run from 8.40am through to 4.30pm. Click here for the schedule.

I have just completed a truly beautiful and inspiring online weekend mindfulness retreat led by two wonderful facilitators Will and Miguel. I feel so blessed and humbled by the trust and connection formed in the group and appreciate the “space” this experience has created for me in my chaotic life. The group worked so well (albeit through zoom) and I feel recharged and inspired to carry on the good work in my future mindfulness practices and look forward to signing up for another retreat very soon. Thank you 🙏

I have just completed the Sharpham online retreat led by Will and Miquel - such an amazing experience and strong sense of community amongst everyone who was present. I would strongly recommend this weekend

Weekend Retreat at Home

An enjoyable and informative day led by supportive and knowledgeable staff. The guided meditations were excellent and the introduction to Buddhism was interesting - succinctly and clearly conveyed. I would recommend to anyone who would like to explore or develop their own home meditation practice
