We couldn't do the work that we do without our team of volunteers.

People give us their time because they believe in our mission, from conservation and garden volunteers to our Retreat Coordinators and our Trustees.

Thank you for all the time you gave to The Sharpham Trust this reporting year. You made a difference.

Volunteering at Sharpham Trust

The gift of time

Garden, rewilding and conservation volunteers enable our charity to continue to support and restore nature.

Each month, groups of people give us hours of their time in order to assist The Sharpham Trust - and we're so grateful.

In this reporting year, volunteers put in infrastructure to support the trees they helped to plant, they worked in around the Walled Garden and grounds at Sharpham House and they tirelessly supported our efforts to rewild parts of The Sharpham Estate.

Volunteer Retreat Coordinators

Our retreat venues The Barn and The Coach House are supported by our wonderful team of Volunteer Retreat Coordinators, who generously hold space for retreatants, help to nurture the retreat environment and live in community alongside the people who stay with us.

This mutually supportive relationship lies at the heart of our retreat community: the Coordinators’ time with us supports the retreats we run throughout the year, while they in turn nurture their own practice within the beauty and stillness of our setting.

It's rich, it's wonderful...all the ways in which it stretches me at times, gives me opportunities to deepen, it's amazing, I love it. It's my practice
