Volunteer for our rewilding project

A rewilding volunteer works on a tree guard

If you want to directly help in efforts to restore nature on the Sharpham Estate, there are TWO ways to volunteer for our rewilding project Sharpham Wild for People:

1) A weekly conservation and estate group, Tuesdays 10.30am-3.30pm (from April)

Space for 8 volunteers each time, working on general conservation activities such as making tree guards, erecting bird boxes and building fences.

Volunteers will need to be over the age of 18 and in good health.

From April this will be taking place on Tuesdays, not Thursdays.

2) A monthly rewilding day, Fridays 10.30am-3.30pmPhil Wilson, session leader

Space for 8 volunteers each time. This will include surveys of the land, working on our Bioblitz and supporting the rewilding project generally.

These sessions will be more family-friendly so children can come along.

Contact Lucy our volunteer co-ordinator on [email protected] to book a space for the volunteer session and determine if you need transport from Totnes.

Once you have requested a space, Lucy will email driving/transport instructions and confirm your place. Places are limited and will be allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis.
