The Sharpham Estate is set in a majestic location high above the River Dart. The house and gardens exude a sense of peace and tranquility with exquisite views in an area of designated outstanding natural beauty.
Redesigned by Sir Robert Taylor in 1770, the house is an outstanding example of English Palladian architecture. It was a family home until 2003, and is now the base for The Sharpham Trust's charitable activities (find out more about our History & Heritage here).
Both the house and estate provide a creative and inspiring venue for retreats and courses, educational and training events, seminars, group activities, weddings, funeral gatherings or celebrations.
We welcome groups wishing to hire indoor or outdoor spaces for residential or non-residential activities, particularly where those groups support the principles of the Sharpham Trust and where Sharpham can support opportunities for connecting like-minded individuals and groups.
We hope you'll find that the friendly, relaxing atmosphere, the breath-taking views and our delicious vegetarian meals make your visit to Sharpham a memorable one.
We are always happy to arrange viewings and you can contact us if you want to do so.
