All Souls' Day 2018

Friday 2nd November 2018 - 7pm-9pm

Join us at Sharpham Meadow Natural Burial Ground for an evening of remembrance on All Souls' Day.

The evening will include a simple ceremonial celebration of all our ancestors at around 7:30pm, to share memories and reflections, and to stand together in the warmth and light of the Ancestors' Fire as the season turns towards the darker months.

All welcome to participate, particularly those with family and friends within the burial ground.

This is an outdoor event. Please come suitably dressed for potentially cold and wet weather - bring a torch or lantern and a fold-up chair if you have one.

Where possible, share vehicles & cram as many fellow All Soulers into your cars as we anticipate more people than ever.

Thank you for a magical evening by the fire and for making the burial ground so beautiful. I enjoyed what you said Rupert - it seemed to cover everything and the saying of names was good...and great to have so many people there - alive and dead!

Thank-you so much for last night; a beautiful ceremony.

A big heartfelt thank-you for your very beautiful All Souls’ Celebration - a real gift for the community.

I felt very honoured to have a personalised invitation - thank you so much.

The Ceremony was very moving and thought-provoking.  Reading out all those names was such a thoughtful touch. It was such a beautiful evening and the hot apple juice, lovely hot soup and apple cake were absolutely delicious. I can't thank you enough for all the effort that had put into this memorable occasion.

Thank you so very much for the other night’s ceremony.  I found it extremely therapeutic on many levels.

A huge thank-you for the wonderful, moving evening at Sharpham Meadow for All Souls’ Day.

There are no words to express the grief any of us feel or try to share, but there with your words flowing over the huge crowd sat by the fire with all the stars above and the river at our feet it was just a really special evening...I am in no hurry to rest my body in the ground just yet but what a wonderful place to be at the end. You have both made our end the beginning of so much healing and celebration.
