Sharpham House
Sharpham House is a Palladian mansion set in a Capability Brown landscape overlooking the River Dart.
The House was the Ash's family home from 1962 until Maurice died in 2003. It has been the base for Sharpham Trust's charitable activities since it was established in 1984 . Today courses, talks workshops and other activities are held in and around the house.
While the grounds and estate are private there are many opportunities to visit, either by participating in the programmes offered, or by visiting on an Open Day. You will find information about these on the relevant pages of this site and the calendar of events.
The House is opened regularly each year for Open Days; on these occasions it is possible to look around parts of the house and gardens.
The Trust's policy of managed access, means that people who visit, can enjoy the tranquility and atmosphere of Sharpham.
Using the House as a base for your course
