There's still time to buy a Share in a Sheep - but the offer closes at the end of this month (July).

Our tenants Ambios at Lower Sharpham Barton Farm are inviting you to buy shares in sheep grazing in Trust orchards and on Trust land, so you can enjoy a fantastic hamper of delicious cuts of organic lamb at a price cheaper than local competitors, delivered in time for Christmas.

Said Jack Skuse, of Lower Sharpham Farm: "The sheep have been happily grazing the orchard, under the careful watch of the Robert Owen Community animal care team based at the farm.

"No pesticides will be used in the orchard, and the flock is being reared following organic principles. We farm organic sheep and cattle that graze our fields to create optimum sward structure, providing niche habitats for wildlife and as part of an organic livestock farming system."

Those who buy shares will also have the option to look after the sheep, keeping an eye out for any health concerns and generally taking care of the flock.

Later in the year the lambs will have fattened enough to go to slaughter. Those with shares will have delicious, orchard reared lamb in the freezer.
