Bryony Middleton is our new Head Gardener,

She replaces Jesse Hammond, who worked in Sharpham's grounds for the last six years (read more about him here)

Bryony has come from Trill Farm, an organic farm and education centre in East Devon whose founder Romy Fraser was once a Sharpham Trustee.

Says Bryony: "It’s a great honour to join Sharpham and work in these beautiful organic gardens, embedded in so much history. The heart of it for me is the beautiful walled vegetable garden and making it productive for the kitchen.

The team here are incredible, and it’s wonderful to be part of a place that supports the soil, the soul and society."

Bryony will be contributing a regular gardening piece to our website and newsletter - read her first article here
