Event outline

The day runs from 10am to 4.30pm.

Please follow the signs to the woodland car park on entering the Sharpham Estate (at the top of the hill before descending steeply towards Sharpham House). Brigit will meet you in the woodland kitchen, your base camp for the day, for an introduction and a cup of wild herbal tea.

This is followed by a 3-hour foraging walk through the grounds of the Sharpham Estate: through woodland, meadows, fields and riverside, taking in stunning views and beautiful landscape.

You will be shown how to safely gather and identify wild food using sight, taste or feel whilst also discovering the medicinal uses of the plants and their folklore. We will harvest along the way and take back our finds to cook in our sheltered kitchen.

The finale is a delicious feast which we will prepare together and eat around the banquet table or under the canvas shelter with a roaring fire at its centre. We will close with final questions and a lovely wild cup of something delicious.

Brigit is amazing, wise beyond her years! I have seen the world with new eyes and can’t wait to do more walks with her.

Brigit is full of knowledge and a lovely person to spend a day with, I felt truly inspired and it has awakened in me a thirst for nature!

Amazing food and an amazing experience thank you Brigit and thank you Sharpham.

Sharpham is stunning and I didn’t want to leave, the wild food was gorgeous, the walk breath taking. The day surpassed my expectations.

Brigit is the Nigella of the woods!

I love the rose petal cacao and the wild sushi was divine!
