Camping at Sharpham
Are you looking for a venue for your group’s overnight camping expedition or weekly camp?
If you are coming on an educational visit, an away day, have booked Sharpham House or just want an amazing place to stay with your family and friends, we can also arrange camping, outdoor food (eg pizzas from the clay pizza oven) and additional outdoor activities for your visit.
There are two sites available for camping at Sharpham. One is Point Field, (Ashprington Point), which borders the river Dart and is great for a stopover while on a canoeing trip. The camp site has room to pitch up to 10-12 small tents. There is a slight slope on which you can pitch more. There is running water and two compost toilets.
The other is close to Sharpham House and is great for a woodland adventure or spill over from the main house. This site has a tree canopy platform, outdoor kitchen, toilets, running water and is next door to the quarry , which can be separately hired as a function space with its fire pits, canvas shelter and clay pizza oven. Parking is also close to this site.
The Sharpham Outdoors Project can provide tents (limited number) and sleeping bags if required
All these spaces need to be prebooked, contact the Bookings Secretary on 01803 732542.
If you are coming on a special educational visit there may also be other affordable options for group accommodation. Please get in touch on 01803 732747.

What our visitors say
- …thanks for contributing to a great programme last week which went really, really well. The students really got a very thorough experience of all the great stuff that is going on round here, as well as having a pretty profound transformational personal experience.
- Hal Gillmore, The Big Green Canoe (a Transition Enterprise, that has emerged from Transition Town Totnes).
