Solitary Retreats
For people who have participated in a Barn retreat, or a silent retreat elsewhere, and who are experienced meditators, we offer the opportunity for a solitary, silent, and self-sufficient retreat.
You will stay in a little hermitage, called the Kuti, in a quiet and relatively remote part of the Barn's woodland. Kuti is the Thai word for meditation hut.
A place in which to meditate
In the words of our retreatants
- The Barn is truly a gem to be experienced: if you have never meditated, this is the place to learn; if you have never done gardening, this is the place to learn the joys of feeling the soil as you dig up your vegetables for the day's meals; if you have never been one with nature or had the opportunity to connect to this wonderful planet, then this is the place to come.
