From Totnes take the A381 for Kingsbridge.
Further up the hill after the built-up area of Totnes, turn left to Ashprington (brown sign for Sharpham Vineyard and the Waterman's Arms).
After 1.8 miles of winding road turn left at the crossroad (sign shows straight on for Ashprington - if you get to the village you've gone too far!) and after 50 yards turn right down a private road marked 'Lower Sharpham Barton' and 'The Barn Retreat'.
Follow this over 12 speed bumps all the way down to the bottom (0.7 miles).
Drive through the farmyard bearing left and head up the concrete road to the Barn. Please park by the woodsheds (you may have to double park).
If you're using a Sat Nav, our postcode, TQ9 7DX, directs you to Sharpham Barton Farm. The Barn is about 300m due north. (You can see our poly-tunnels and gardens about 150m north-west of the Barn building.) Our driveway is obscured by trees, but identified if you ‘show labels’.

On Foot or Cycle from Totnes
From the railway station (walking 45-60mins, cycling 25mins): Out of station drive, turn left at main road, crossing over at pedestrian lights. At Morrison's petrol station take road straight on-ish into 'Town'. (You'll soon walk past Morrison's supermarket on left.) Keep going straight on over mini roundabout. At Job Centre Plus the road swings right. You go straight on, passing the Job Centre to your right. When the road bears left around the back of the Steam Packet Inn on your left, you turn right (sighposted 'National Cycle Network 28'), up hill for 30 metres to a sign for footpath/cycle route to Ashprington . Follow this up a long hill. Go through a gate at the top, continue downhill and then through a gate with the Sharpham compass logo on its post. Then continue 200 metres and through a third gate. (Now concentrate for 3 minutes. If anyone goes wrong.... it's here!)
After 100 metres there's a bench on the right (dedicated to Jean Magurie). Go through the gate by this bench into a field, and climb up the hill towards a new plantation of trees. (Walking towards 11 o'clock if you stand with your back to the gate.) A farmer's dirt track runs along the fence at the top. Go left along this track, through gate to a concrete drive. Turn right to the Barn.
Cyclists : Continue along Sharpham drive past this bench and down hill. Watch carefully - some people miss this ... Where the tarmac drive veers left there are two wooden gates at a right angle to each other. Go through the left hand gate into a field , push bike up hill to a gate at the top. Go through the gate and along track to farmyard. Turn right up concrete drive to Barn.
From the bus stop (walking 40mins) : You will be dropped off near the Royal Seven Stars Hotel between Morrison’s supermarket and the mini roundabout mentioned in the above directions.
