In the words of our visitors
- The trip was brilliant. I think I enjoyed learning about trees and the environment the most, mainly just because I was learning something new every minute

Throughout the year the Sharpham Outdoors Project hosts a number of seasonal events either at Lower Sharpham Barton Farm or across the stunning Sharpham Estate. These events mirror the season and draw on the different environments of Sharpham in order to offer a range of activities aimed at reconnecting with the natural world, and recognising the sense of place Sharpham has to offer.
For example join us for our wreath making event just before Christmas, using willow harvested on the estate, or navigate your way around the night sky on our Spring star watch when the nights are at their crispest, clearest and darkest and just as the season changes from winter skies into our summer ones. Come wild food foraging when the hedgerows are laden with free food, hedge laying when the birds have finished breeding and after the leaf drop, enjoy our walks and talks relating to the rich and diverse heritage of Sharpham and natural history of the landscape. These are just some of the activities we can offer.
There are also a number of events that run from the farm site at Lower Sharpham Barton, including barn dances, Christmas carol singing to the animals, and open days and farm walks. The Sharpham Summer Open day, autumn apple day and spring tree plant add to the calendar of events to enjoy.
All these events are accompanied by seasonal food either grown or prepared by the Sharpham Outdoors Project team and supported by our team of friendly volunteers. Let us know if you would like to help.
Please see Sharpham calendar for upcoming dates.
