A place to get active
In the words of our visitors
- Thank you Anna (and John) for a memorable couple of days. Lots of really genuine and deep enthusiasm from the young people that shared the experience. The beauty of the place and your warmth and clarity really has had an effect this year. It would be great to return next year and build on that with some of the same students (currently nearly all keen to sign up now!) It was a real privilege to be part of and witness such a real epiphany for some of them, concentrating on creating space to grow and wonder was definitely the best approach Thank you so much.
- Bruce (and Louise) and 17 grubby, tired, transformed teenagers (A school group of 13-15 year-olds taking part in Forest School type activities and camping out overnight in shelters on the estate)

Are you looking for somewhere to reinspire your group to take on the next challenge? Or a place where they can relax, regroup and reconnect?
Sharpham is a stunning setting in which to run your business or company away day. The range of environments from woodlands, farmland, built heritage and access to the river Dart sets the scene, where the skilled and knowledgeable staff follow up with a range of activities to suit your interest and your wallet.
Sharpham vineyard offers award winning wine tastings and tours, and al fresco meals from their award winning cafe. The rich and diverse history of the Sharpham Estate, with stories of the wealthy naval captain commissioning the Palladian villa and landscape works in the late 18 th century to the feckless great grandson who lost it all betting on a spider race captivates the imagination.
There are options of activities in the natural world, with canoe trips on the river, bushcraft and survival skills in the woods or conservation and traditional heritage craft activities in the landscape including hedge laying and dry stone walling. These activities get you out and active, awakening the senses with the beautiful Sharpham scenery. Spend a night building your own shelter and sleep under the stars , strengthening team bonds and building friendships or entertain yourselves with a classical piano rendition in the music room or banquet in the dining room and out on the terrace – the main house sleeps 30. Non residential away days are also an option.
