Weddings at Sharpham
On a few limited occasions each year, the Trust welcomes couples to use Sharpham House and its wonderful gardens exclusively for their weddings.
Before and after the wedding, you and up to 31 of your guests can be accommodated in comfortable bedrooms among relaxed surroundings, while you can choose from five elegant rooms in this Georgian Palladian mansion designed in 1770 by Sir Robert Taylor, all licensed to hold your civil wedding ceremony.
Many couples choose to hold their ceremony on our famous feature: our spectacular, oval, cantilevered staircase, rising three floors beneath a domed ceiling and lantern skylight.
Your reception and drinks can be taken in the tranquil setting of lush lawns and gardens with breathtaking views of the River Dart and gorgeous natural scenery make a fabulous and memorable backdrop for your wedding and your photographs.
You may choose to hire a marquee or a tipi to put on our lawns.
With Sharpham House and its grounds, and our dedicated team, we think this makes us a very special venue indeed.
Our House Manager Denise Scribbins will help guide and advise you on any aspect of your wedding needs.
Please contact us to discuss availability. We are always happy to arrange viewings at a mutually convenient time.
