Forging co-operative relationships with like-minded organisations is an integral part of our intention to explore sustainable and meaningful ways of living in the/our world. 


Partnerships & community on the Estate

Here are some of the organisations on the Sharpham estate with whom we share some values, ideas and collaborative projects.

Sharpham Vineyard - English Wine and Cheese, Shop, Tours and Tasting

The Vineyard Cafe - alfresco style eating with stunning views over-looking the River Dart

Vine Event Catering - provide catering for weddings, celebrations and all events in South Devon. Based at the Sharpham Estate, Totnes and are the chosen caterers for all weddings and celebrations at Sharpham House.


Partnerships & community outside the Estate

Dartington Hall Trust and Schumacher College: Partners in an IPS to store and supply sustainably produced woodchip for bio-mass boilers in our locality

Gaia House, West Ogwell, Devon.  Collaborative courses on Buddhist study and Mindfulness Projects. Gaia House is the ideal place to practice and deepen mindfulness and meditation techniques learned at Sharpham in a silent setting

Mindfulness in Schools Project:  Sharpham works with MISP in hosting trainings for teaching professionals in the South West Region and in feeding research data for evidence based research and evaluation on the effective use of mindfulness based stress reduction in schools

Transition Town Totnes and the Transition Network Sharpham is working with TTT on a number of initiatives including developing an Energy Descent Plan for the estate. We host Transition events and training

The Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust Partners in an IPS to store and supply sustainably produced woodchip for bio-mass boilers in our locality

The South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB) Work with Sharpham to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the surrounding area

Embercombe are based near Exeter and deliver inspirational, like-minded programmes focused around social justice, environmental sustainability and spiritual fulfillment

WildWise deliver environmentally-focused events on the estate as part of our public events programme

Trill Farm Trust Romy Fraser, founder of TFT

The Robert Owen Community – a tenant of the Sharpham Trust, we provide working opportunities for the ROC Green Team

Torbay Youth Service and Devon Youth Service working together to deliver educational programmes on the estate and river, especially reaching youth with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties

British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) We work with BTCV to deliver conservation projects on the estate, particularly working with young people not in education, employment or training

Ambios Ltd. Partnerships have included many opportunities for work placement, training and volunteering in the environmental sector over several years

Sustrans Worked with Sharpham to create an off road stretch of the National cycle network along the estate’s old carriage drive

Devon Wildlife Trust support and contribute to our Wildlife Watch Group

Totnes Rickshaw Company has based its first pilot bio-fuel project on the estate. Works with us to provide low carbon travel options for visitors

Cancer Lifeline South West is a local cancer charity working to help anyone affected by cancer. The Sharpham Trust supports and substantially subsidises their Retune residential breaks at Sharpham House.

www.blackadonbarns.co.uk Holiday cottages set in 4 peaceful acres on the most southerly part of Dartmoor over-looking the coast. The owner Mark Walker helps to promote Sharpham events.

www.justbdartmouth.com  Boutique en suite bedrooms and self-catering apartments in Dartmouth Town Centre. The owner helps to promote our Sharpham events.
